where to eat and drink at logan airport

Boston Airport Cab: There are many options for you to choose from when it comes to food at Logan Airport, but people’s all-time favorite is the iconic burger from one of Boston’s most famous burger joints. Our customers who travel from different MA cities to Logan Airport, often ask for suggestions for eateries at the airport.  From the New England seafood restaurants that showcase the best the area has to offer to quick places to grab a sandwich and coffee before your next flight, here are all the best dining options at Boston Logan Airport.

Terminal A

 Legal Test Kitchen

If you have time, it’s worth visiting the Legal Sea Foods test kitchen. With classics like grilled scallops, fried whole-belly clams, surprises like a salmon BLT, and rotating experimental dishes like Sesame-Crusted Tuna, this is a place to linger. The full bar offers delicious drinks you won’t find at other locations – though, for better or worse, the menu doesn’t offer seafood dishes for breakfast. Tina, who had us pick herself up from the airport said she tried the restaurant because she was extremely hungry and she was delighted to find good food at the Legal Test Kitchen.

Friendly’s

Indeed, you can’t get Friendly’s in Massachusetts anymore, but there’s one left – at Logan airport! You could still order your favorite item, like a grilled tuna melt with a vanilla milkshake or fudge brownie sundae. Sure it might not be gourmet cuisine, but the nostalgia factor is out of this world.

Alta Strada

Alta Strada is the perfect place if you’re looking for a spot that brings an epic serving of chicken parm and some crusty garlic bread. Alta Strada is a mini-chain on the East Coast, but the quality has stayed the same since famed chef Michael Schlow founded it.

Terminal B

Trade

This restaurant offers a delicious sampling of dishes from the famous Jody Adam’s Seaport restaurant of the same name. The Mediterranean menu contains flatbreads, a hummus platter, an eggplant sandwich, and steak fries as entrees. As if that wasn’t enough good news, the Trade burger is on this menu too! Made with harissa aioli, brioche bun, and more, this burger is undoubtedly not to be missed. And since all airport restaurants need a full bar, there’s plenty of that here too.

Otto

This New England pizza chain is never disappointing. It even beats any Sbarro pizza. The thin crust slices are reheated before delivery, and the toppings range from the standard fare: now’s as good a time as any to try the mashed potato, bacon, and scallion pizza.

Lucca

Another pleasant surprise when visiting Logan Airport, the menu at Spire is smaller than at its North End sister restaurants. However, this doesn’t mean the pasta is any less homey or well done. Rigatoni, pappardelle bolognese, and baked orecchiette are the mainstays; there’s also a lobster gnocchi appetizer for those looking to indulge themselves. Paninis, salads, and snacks like deviled eggs and garlic bread make this an easy choice.

Terminal C

Shojo

This is one of the most pleasant surprises in Terminal C: the second outpost of Brian Moy’s Chinatown restaurant. The original offerings, including the duck fat fries and pork belly bao, are still available. New dishes like congee and morning offerings such as the hash brown sandwich have been added to the menu.

Davio’s

Italian steakhouse chain Logan doesn’t skimp on quality. You can still enjoy housemade potato gnocchi, braised beef short ribs, and a 55-day prime-aged ribeye with your choice of sauce. That is an all-day affair: Cocktails flow day and night, the breakfast menu is robust, and they are open at 5:30 AM and close 30 minutes before the day’s final flight.

Boston Public Market

At this 6,000-square-foot location, you can find almost every type of food imaginable. You’ll find some popular items at our downtown market, like Mother Juice and Red’s Best, as well as various dishes from Beantown Pastrami. If you don’t have time for an extensive meal, try one of the market’s elevated to-go options.

Terminal E

Monica’s Mercato

While this North End mainstay is known for its sandwiches, it’s also a market that offers many other things, like pizzas and dinner entrees. However, the real sandwich stars here are the Italian and meatball subs that people came from all over Boston to enjoy. They’re recreated on-site, but it’s a sit-down restaurant with the entire bar and seating for you to enjoy.

Stephanie’s

The new location is a bar and restaurant that offers high-quality food, like seafood and salads. The Full drink menu includes a Bloody Mary for those rough morning flights.
