In a shocking incident two suspects shot a man from behind and fled from the scene near North-Eastern University (Huntington) in broad daylight. That victim was left bleeding face down after being hit in the back and shoulders. This is shocking especially because it happened during the busy hours in front of a pizza shop amidst high traffic and activity.
Speaking at the scene on Huntington Avenue Tuesday evening, Commissioner William B. Evans said the victim, whom he described only as a “young man,” was targeted. He said the disturbing part in this incident is its brazenness. It happened at about 4:30 p.m in a bustling suburb packed with students and business owners.
The victim was taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the medics report the injuries are severe. The bullets have not penetrated the body and none of the internal organs are affected though.
There is a witness video of the incident showing a man lying face-down and medics tending to his wounds. But the video does not show anything about the assailants. Witness, who did not want to be named, have told the local police that the shooters used a high caliber gun, walked up close and tried to kill the victim.
Police said they are searching for two suspects, one dressed in dark clothing. Police is seeking public help on this one and we are helping spread the word to make it easier for the people of Boston and the Police.
